(More customer reviews)This is one excellent glass measuring cup!I can't believe how much nicer it is than Pyrex!The glass is very clear with no visible flaws, probably due to the fact that it is borosilicate, unlike newer Pyrex.Old Pyrex was different, more like this Arcuisine cup.It has measurements in U.S. or American customary units, metric units and Imperial units, which are very easy to read.And I've tested them, they seem to be right on accurate, even though the fine print says "approximate" measurements.The glass is a little thinner, so it's lighter, but yet seems strong.It's supposed to be stronger than Pyrex (seems to scratch less easy, too).It has a stylish, sleek, pleasing shape, better than Pyrex and can be easily used for mixing, due to the slightly different shape.So far, it's hand-washed, microwaved and gone through the dishwasher well.It will actually hold slightly less than 6 cups, to the rim, without overflowing, but don't expect it to pour as well, this full.The only thing that's not perfect is that when pouring very full, it can dribble a bit, but less than the other brand!I like that it's made in France, where current glass standards seem higher, which is probably why it has a 20 year warranty.(I had one piece of Pyrex unexpectedly explode.)I like this so much, I will buy another and feel it is worth paying a little more for it.I wish they had these available on Amazon in the other sizes-1 & 2 cup.I will be looking at other glass products made by this company.I'll update if I change my mind about this one.
